Universities in Holland:
The Dutch universities have a reputation for being at the forefront in the development and introduction of new teaching methods. Dutch education is both efficiently run and internationally oriented.
The Netherlands with a population of 16.5 mln. inhabitants has:
14 Research universities, where students are trained to be scientists and
41 Universities of Applied Sciences where study programs have a professional component.
In Holland you can get a Bachelor degree at Universities of applied sciences. After completing education at a Dutch university of applied sciences you can follow fast - track Master programs;
For a Master of Arts or Master of Sciences degree you must study at a research university
For a PhD degree you must also go to a research university or at special international post-university institutions .In the year 2009 29.822 students were studying psychology as a major or minor study in the BAMA programmes.
Costs: Students have to pay 1671 - euro a year.
