Liechtenstein

Unfortunately there is no fully-fledged psychological university department in Liechtenstein at present. However, there are two facilities dealing with research closely linked to the discipline of psychology. First, there is the University of Liechtenstein’s business studies departments: Our Chair in International Management has a main research focus on sustainability and knowledge work, our Chair in Management Studies is focused on organizational behavior, with a focus on trust management, motivation and happiness at work and our Chair in Entrepreneurship routinely makes use of psychometric questionnaires to assess entrepreneurial aptitude and thinking. Moreover, there is the privately run University of the Principality of Liechtenstein with a focus on the medical science, which actually conducts a research program in the realm of psycho-cardiology. Furthermore, the Professional Association of Psychologists in Liechtenstein advocates both theoretical advancement in and practical application of the scientific discipline. Last but not least the Liechtenstein government authority provides a school psychology service and a community service; in addition the health authorities provide a register with local psychotherapists.
