Psychology Education

Historically, the University of Paris Descartes was part of the Sorbonne, and home to the first laboratories in psychology in France. Currently, The faculty of Psychology is the largest faculty of Psychology in France. Each year, 4,000 students in Psychology receive initial and advanced training including Master and Doctoral degree. Some of them will become psychologists; professor in psychology; others will become teachers in primary or elementary schools. Almost two hundred researchers are working in laboratories; the main specializations are developpemental psychology, clinical psychology, cognitive psychology and social psychology.

The University will be attending the three EUROPLAT annual conferences and will support work package 4 by working with the University of Salzburg to design and develop the EUROPLAT web portal, hub and spoke. In addition the partner will be supporting the network by populating the local spoke of the project web hub and portal.
