Psychology Education
Psychology education is organized in four French-speaking universities in the French Community of Belgium and three in the Flemish Community of Belgium.
All programs are at the Master Level (Secondary school + 5) and accessible without further conditions to all holders of a secondary school diploma. University accreditation is based on government decisions and there are currently no explicit constraints on course and curriculum requirements, except that all Psychology Bachelors are required to have at least 60% overlap in course contents. Tuition fees are around 800 € per year.
Bachelor degrees do not qualify for employment but only open access to the Masters. Master degrees allow the delivery of a professional title, conditional to minimal additional field experience.
In the French speaking community, specific work opportunities are scant (relative to the number of graduates) and many graduates would work in other areas often related to education for several years.
